A Unique Non-Profit Organization Dedicated to Orphan Diseases

What We Do

We raise funds and awareness to combat orphan diseases through community events and fundraisers. *Orphan diseases are rare and often life-threatening diseases that typically do not have effective treatment options. The biggest obstacle to research studies for cures is the lack of funding.

Annual 5K

Who We Are

We believe in raising funds for causes that aren't well known and have a lack of funding for research & treatment because they are commonly overlooked by larger non-profit organizations and events. We host an annual 5K on the DCR Charles River in Boston that donates all proceeds to The PLGA Foundation (d.b.a A Kids' Brain Tumor Cure). Pediatric Low Grade Astrocytomas (PLGAs) are the most common form of childhood brain tumors, but are still considerably underfunded & overlooked in research

Our Impact

We have donated close to $40,000 that helped launch and continue a Phase 2 Clinical Trial lead by a team at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. This project “concentrate[s] research on pediatric low-grade brain tumors, in order to discover new and improved targeted therapies that don't risk impairing children's bodies and minds."

We have also established an annual 5K that many people return to again and again each year, and will hopefully become a staple event in the Boston running community in years to come.
